WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
'GIFT' and
'BULK' PACKAGING?
Our GIFT boxed products are
packaged in individual candy cups, in our sturdiest boxes,
shrink-wrapped and gift wrapped for shipping. While GIFT
boxes give a more impressive presentation for those Special
Events where our products are served directly from the box,
there are extra packaging and labor costs included in GIFT
box pricing.
With our BULK packaging, the
candies are simply placed in the box with no candy cups, no
shrink-wrap and no gift wrap. Packaging and labor costs are
less than the GIFT products. BULK packaging has been the
preferred packaging of our in-store customers for decades
and is appropriate when the treats are going to be served
from a candy dish, for example. However, It is not uncommon
for our customers to serve their guests directly from the
BULK packaged container.
Almond Creme Toffee lends
itself very well to BULK packaging and has been proven to
be virtually un-affected by the stresses of shipment. Even
during times of temperatures over 80 degrees, our customers
have reported their Almond Creme Toffee orders have arrived
in fine shape.
Both Mr. Knudson and Mr. Call, the founders of Idle Isle
Candy, have often been quoted as saying:
"You can't eat the
packaging. The candy is what you want!"
We have not previously offered
BULK packaging on our website. With the difficult economic
times these days, BULK packaging just makes more sense.
